Prof.Dr. Grace Akello
Prof.Dr. Grace Akello is a Medical Anthropologist trained at the University of Amsterdam and University of Leiden in the Netherlands. She is currently an Associate Professor in Gulu University’s Faculty of Medicine, Uganda. She currently studies humanitarianism, pandemic preparedness, and health policy development and implementation during complex emergencies and in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). She has published numerous articles and book chapters focusing on former child soldiers, ex-combatants, silencing of distressed children in the context of war as a coping mechanism, and the oughtness of care during the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) epidemic.
